Artbook Review 1.0: Kusanagi VI

When I started to play the DS game called Genso Suikoden Tierkreis, the first thing that appealing me is the background image which is drawn beautifully and detail for level of DS game.
I always wondering who is the man behind the art and lately I found out that Kusanagi is the studio behind this piece of art and surprisingly, it's the same studio that create the world of Final Fantasy 9. I've always be a fan of Final Fantasy 9 art, I even stop playing just to draw the background.

This is the 6th installment of the Kusanagi series, inside you can see the complete beautiful art background of Suikoden Tierkreis which come along with the sketches and some of the other Game arts such as Rhapsodia and Gunbare Goemon.

This book is a must for you who are interested to work as a background artist. It just too bad that the portion of the image is quiet small. But overall, this is one of my favorite artbook that I treasure.

Baratie Sketch 1.0

Got 3 days holiday, I don't know what to do and where to go, so I decided to make some sketches just for fun. And this picture is born, still working on the color ( don't know when I can finish this ).

The best part is, I like the stroke effect on this picture. Thanks to my Kuretake sketching pen, that make this thing happen. I found this pen when I browse for marker on popular bookstore, since then this pen has become my favorite pen for line drawing. The website: www.kuretake.co.jp
